Why don't construction prices go down?

I received an offer for photovoltaics yesterday. 12.4kWp Viessmann allblack modules, Huawei hybrid inverter. The installation is fairly complex due to my intricate roof shape and various roof surfaces. The price is 1100,-€/kWp. Huawei storage 5kWh is priced at 5000,-€. DIY would clearly be cheaper. However, I agree with the offered price and will place the order soon.

Price per kWp I find great, but the price for the storage surprises me a bit, I thought they had become cheaper than 1k/kWh by now.

Yes, for the price I would clearly do without the storage. It helps neither the environment nor the wallet.

I agree with you that the storage is relatively expensive. However, I can't avoid the storage because, based on my KFW grant 442, I have to build a storage.

If you consider that construction prices have actually only increased since 2010, sometimes dramatically from year to year, take into account the inflation since February 2022, and look at the fact that prices are now at least stagnating or even slightly declining...

Then construction prices are falling significantly in real terms. Construction prices, mind you, not the overall burden. But construction companies are not responsible for the interest rates.

The Huawei system is very good. I installed it myself and am very satisfied with it. However, your storage is significantly too expensive. I have the 10 kW hour storage and paid only €5000 gross for it 1.5 years ago. So including VAT. I might renegotiate that again. Especially since the 5 kW storage is way too small for your system. I would definitely go for a 10 kW storage, anything else you will regret.
