I suspect the craftsmen are now trying to quickly make full cash registers, the order books are still well filled, as there are still old orders in there. It's always all time-shifted. I think it will get significantly emptier around autumn and thus prices will drop. What do you think?
All the craftsmen I have spoken to about this topic so far do not see that coming at all at the moment. You keep hearing the same story: You can't find new/good employees, additionally the baby boomer generations will retire in the foreseeable future and Generation TikTok is still difficult to enthuse for craftsmanship. The outlook for the future is already making many company owners break out in a sweat. Materials may become somewhat cheaper again, but skilled personnel is in demand and will therefore remain expensive. In this respect, the hope for falling prices is unfortunately more of a wishful thinking, at best there will be something like stagnation.
