Why don't construction prices go down?

That would interest me too. Nowadays, there are ready-made kits available for order and not even that expensive. So the idea would be to add something to the garden shed and carport.

One could be bold and run a regular power cable from the fuse box (16A fuse) to the carport and/or garden shed (and have it connected for a crate of beer). Then you buy 8 panels for 520€ each and a micro-inverter for 3,500 watts at 400€ each, and for 2,500€ all in (including mounting etc.) you have two oversized balcony power plants that you just let run... So basically a good 7kWp system...

Which of course nobody does, because it’s not legal...

So please don’t take this as a real idea...

Yeah... and how long does something like that take with 2 people? At the neighbor's, 2 solar technicians fiddled around for 2 days for 3-4 kWp. That's 4 man-days... So for 20 kWp with storage, all bells and whistles... 12 man-days? If we consider economies of scale, the complex tasks are done both times. Whether I commission a machine with 20kW or 200kW usually makes little difference in effort. Tackling the photovoltaic panels onto the roof shouldn't be that complex.

If you take 70 EUR/h x 10 hours x 12 days = 8,400 EUR. So your material plus 8,400 EUR = just under 22,000 EUR. Plus the storage, 3-4,000 EUR = 25-26,000 EUR.

The offers are completely fine, what are you complaining about?

Oh yeah, the solar technician also provides a warranty and a signature. If your house burns down because of an error in the photovoltaic system, the insurance only pays if it was installed by a professional company. Whoever builds it themselves gets... exactly... nothing ;)

But you don’t get feed-in tariff for that, right?

I think that would eventually be noticed, since the feed-in is much higher than expected from my rooftop system. At least it wouldn't pass any plausibility check, since it's twice as high.
