It makes me a bit suspicious that the Solarwatt modules are still the only ones immediately available at my supplier. Although not many left either, without knowing these modules, they somehow seem to be presented as slow movers.
Otherwise, it is up to each individual whether to procure the photovoltaic components on their own or to contact their solar installer. This primarily depends on the fear factor.
The suppliers all say that new goods are expected to arrive starting in May. Whether that will actually happen is, of course, a completely different matter. Right now, there is simply panic in the market. Everyone is desperately trying to get the last available goods.
In that case, storing delivered modules is the least of the problems.
Without available material, you cannot build. There is still quite a bit to buy. However, the time window is closing rapidly. And it doesn’t matter whether it’s sunflower oil or a few roof battens.
With new contracts, we are already well above the estimates at 45 cents per kWh for electricity, regardless of whether with storage or not.
The mentioned heat pump with 8400 kWh consumption then costs about 3750 euros in electricity per year. The only problem is when you rely on photovoltaics and they simply are not available. Really bad.
