Ahem * … why do you need storage space if you don’t have any workspace to prepare something in the kitchen? At that point, you’re almost failing at spreading butter on a sandwich… The 60cm to the right of the stove is taken up by KVA, oil bottles, salt and pepper mill, and notepad/phone. And between the sink and stove you have 60!… only a meager 60cm for spreading bread. Cooking probably isn’t really possible there, at least not passionately and extensively.

Better to have a larger kitchen with many pantry cabinets than a small and hardly useful pantry.

I also don't see a pantry here. The workspace is probably about as big as it is currently in our 3.5 sqm kitchen. In an open space that is significantly larger than our current apartment, I somehow find that inappropriate ;) Although I also believe that the problem is not solved by adding the good meter from the pantry. It seems like "oops, we need more space for the kitchen," and it is squeezed in between living and dining.

I share your opinion. The kitchen area is practically squeezed between two rooms - whether small or large.

Somehow it looks on the floor plan as if they forgot the kitchen and just patched it in the middle.

I would remove the reading corner. Either put the dining area there and keep the sitting window. Place the kitchen where the dining area is now. Then the corner window will have to be adjusted.

Opinions differ so much. For me, the centrally located kitchen is very fitting because it initiates the separation of the dining area on the left side of the plan from the living/reading area on the left side of the plan. However, I share the general consensus that the kitchen is too small in terms of workspace and also disproportionately small compared to the rest of the room.
