I also do nothing actively against dandelions in our garden. Bees and other insects like them, they don't bother me, nor the neighbors, but we also have extremely tolerant neighbors who don't have much to do with gardening. Many, however, wage almost a war against plants like dandelions and would surely be "upset" if the neighbor even plants them in their garden. I let almost everything grow on my lawn that is beautiful and useful. I also let all kinds of thistles grow; I mow around them on purpose. Since then, I have many beautiful different kinds of thistles with beautiful flowers, and especially bumblebees love them. But if you have neighbors who have a nervous breakdown over every "weed"...
