I planted a special pumpkin this year that grows really well (nickname: Gollum) - however, it has almost exclusively male flowers. Very pretty, but I actually wanted to have fruits by now. I've already threatened it that it will be removed if there continue to be only male flowers and no fruits. And since then, it has developed a single fruit (a bit little, considering it has almost occupied my entire garden) - as if the beast heard it.

My question: is there a way to stimulate the formation of female flowers? I didn't actually plant this thing as a flowering plant.

, in one of your pictures I discovered bamboo. Could you maybe post a picture of the plant? Which bamboo is it and how satisfied are you? Growth etc.

That all looks great! What do you have in the background in the third picture, almost behind the tree? You can only see it blurred, is that a very tall hedge / shrubs? If so, what kind?

I’ll do it when I’m at home. Definitely a Fargesia.. Photos etc. coming.

To the right of it the hornbeam hedge starts, to the left is some bushy stuff.
I can also take pictures of that.
