In the drought monitor (you can google it) you can unfortunately see the whole drama
It feels like it's been pouring here again for weeks (Sauerland weather, you know :rolleyes . But the reservoirs are still not full again and the water simply hasn't returned to the lower layers yet.

So I try to be happy about rain too. But sometimes it just somehow doesn't work anymore...

I am happy every time it rains - as long as it is not too windy. Still, a sunny day would be nice again, slowly it is starting to get me down....

Great weather, took a day off and just got to work. Worked out really well

Placed birdhouses on the fence:

Made 3 permaculture "medium-high beds" L x W x H 300 x 100 x 58:

Still need a fourth one, as we plan a four-year rotation for crop changes. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough material for it. So off to the wood dealer.

The British greenhouse was also delivered today, but it first needs a foundation.

I really like that! What do you want to plant in it?

Just took a look into the front garden: daisies, borage, a primrose, moss phlox, and periwinkle are blooming

The focus is on edible plants. Therefore, the beds are also located under the terrace on the "basement level" and are accessible from the kitchen. My wife creates the planting concept; she knows which plants to combine in order to protect each other from pests. This way, we manage without pesticides. I will quiz her on it when I get the chance.
