Colorful Garden Chat Picture Thread

We already have problems with the neighbor's cat. We certainly do not want a cat paradise. I actually wanted to avoid [Kirschlorbeer] if possible. Is [portugiesischer Lorbeer] ecologically more sensible?

We did not plant any cherry laurel in the hedge along the street, only the glossy photinia. The Portuguese cherry laurel was just an alternative that fits into the color scheme of the glossy photinia. I planted a handful of Portuguese cherry laurel in the east as a privacy screen in front of the neighbor's gas tank, let's see how it does there.

In the gloomy weather, one appreciates every bit of green and every blossom. The Christmas roses that we received as a housewarming gift are slowly getting started, and the witch hazel is also blooming.

Both are still quite small, but they have only been in the ground for a few months. If all the early-blooming bulbs come up now, it will almost be colorful :)

The way the soil looks around our 300 onions, it was more of a vole feast than an early bloomer meadow :) I’ll wait and see.

We are diligently planning our garden, it will be a natural garden with almost exclusively native plants, and I am really looking forward to really getting into it.

Our witch hazel is still showing no signs :rolleyes: Since it was planted only in the fall, we are waiting to see what happens
