When it comes to houseplants, I have a brown thumb. It works outside. Take your time, not everything at once, and learn as you go. If you catch the garden virus , it will happen.

I can recommend the natural garden/cottage garden. It tolerates a certain laissez-faire and once established, it needs little care. A flowering hedge doesn’t require shaping; you just cut back what’s in the way. A prairie garden needs no additional watering, a lawn with weeds manages without a robot or irrigation, yet it is still walkable and playable. Use hardy plants that can stay outside without winter protection. For a vegetable garden, start with a raised bed or 2 square beds. Feel your way in and don’t take on too much.

Nerd :p:D…! Tell me, dear Steffi, is the hose used as an irrigation hose with holes or where does it go? Ours always lies across the garden like a snake :(

Yes indeed.. what won’t one do for the little ones.. In the first garden year the little kohlrabi plants were eaten through the roots. The following year I tried these "collars".. that didn’t help either. Last year the attempt with the sheep’s wool.. and tada.. that worked well!

Yes.. ours too, I am quite indifferent about it... It connects the tap point with a few drip hoses.

Does anyone of you have honeysuckle in the garden, maybe even decorated a fence or a wall with it? I’m planning something like that and would be happy to receive a photo from you, preferably also a winter photo. I’m interested to know if honeysuckle grows relatively densely "in real life" and is evergreen or if that is only the case in sales photos.

I just spoke with my sister yesterday about the honeysuckle that she planted. Here is a photo of the honeysuckle that I see near me. I often pass by it when I go to the swimming pool. I find it very beautiful. The honeysuckle is eager to grow and climb and quite undemanding as long as it is at least in partial shade. And in summer it buzzes with bees and bumblebees in the bushes. :)
