Colorful Garden Chat Picture Thread

It takes time for the garden to become colorful. If it is as dry and hot with you as it is with us, take even more time. Despite watering, many new plants have already died for me this year. Glad I didn't plant the fruit trees. I have already watered everything except the hedge, lawn, and steep slope. The hollyhocks have still only grown to hip height. My interim vegetable garden

Yes, we do have quite a lot of space here.. over 1000sqm. The work is actually manageable.. once in the ground, most of it grows like magic. I hold back on watering. Only my pots and the greenhouse really need attention.

really seems much larger. I would have estimated it bigger. I also have 1000 sqm of green space. Seems much smaller

We saw this pretty plant in our hotel complex on Kos. The flowers feel straw-like/dry. I searched the internet for it and couldn't find anything. Maybe someone here knows what it is… ? Best regards, Steffi

Thanks to your help, I found out that it is globe amaranth.. I took some seeds with me… Now it is growing here with us..
