Colorful Garden Chat Picture Thread

Today I harvested vegetable onions. Grown from seeds myself.

Does anyone of you have an idea for the slate area? Our dog confuses the small tiles with toys. So they have to go. Since the red Japanese maple has dried up anyway, I thought I’d plant these 3 sqm either with a nice short green grass (perennial) or as wild as on the left side of the picture (Euonymus, lavender, and other stuff). So 10cm carpet or knee-high?

Is it always so shady there? I do love star moss...

Neither. I would put tall grass or something really decorative there. That is a focal point.

Our garden is currently in full bloom.. The roses have a particularly intense color this year.

no, it's the south side of the house. South is basically where the chairs are, the photo was taken at 7 pm. Star moss would fit well in terms of substrate and appearance. Maybe the resting surface is quite good there.

How tall do you mean? We destroyed tall pampas and miscanthus in the garden last year because they became unsightly. So, marram grass or rye are also out of the question. They get too tall for me because of the fountain. The fountain is to stay.
