Pansies are still blooming I only have the very frost-sensitive plants inside, the rest are still outside without winter protection. Just grouped together by the house wall Hydrangea is sprouting Bulb flowers are emerging Magnolia is getting white tips Forsythia has nice buds The winter honeysuckle is starting to bloom Weeds are growing It is raining too - could be more

If it freezes again now, that's it again. Like in 2018, hardly any fruit, everything froze and got destroyed in March.

I also fear that it will still be really cold in February / March. So "really" meaning at least a week well below zero. But there's no helping it. By the way, the onions are already poking out here, I saw just now - after the road workers simply dumped soil in the front yard that I then shoveled back onto the pavement. Yes, I know, it’s not a neatly edged bed - still, you should be able to see that something is growing there, which you shouldn’t just cover up.

It is already so warm where you are, we in the south do not notice it at all. At night there is a proper frost down to -4 degrees and even during the day hardly above 0 degrees. If I didn't read everywhere how warm it is, I wouldn't be aware of it.

For January, it is warm I think. So -4 to +4 degrees. On Friday it was +6 degrees at 7 a.m. Parts of my garden are also very sunny, they get every ray.

Yes, that's true, otherwise we usually have -10 degrees in January. Compared to that, 5 degrees too warm
