There was really some action here. I went running early this morning and quite a few trees were damaged. The forest sofa is actually quite sturdy, but it stands in a kind of wind tunnel created by the buildings. The rather tall and densely overgrown neighboring property was unfortunately heavily thinned out in the spring, and our new plantings (hazel, dogwood, and elderberry) are not yet tall and strong enough for this draft. Until further notice, I will therefore unscrew every second board of the backrest each autumn. Then you can still use the sofa, but the wind will (hopefully) whistle through. It's not a big deal, I just looked really stupid when the thing suddenly jumped and flipped over

We have a particularly beautiful beech tree that is around 120 years young. It developed a longitudinal crack in the trunk over the first 6-7 meters due to drought two years ago combined with a storm. It is still standing. Let's see what has changed. Unfortunately, the tree cannot be technically helped, but I will not fell it prematurely.

Be careful that it is not too late.
The birch must go in the next few days, as it is slowly settling comfortably on the roof of the house.
I have to defend the oak and the maple. Husband and buddy want to remove both. It doesn’t matter where the trees stand and they are healthy.

Alternatively, maybe two drive-in ground sleeves for the back legs, four screws, and done?

higher up at the blinker it must have been whistling pretty loudly. Bad luck with the bank at your place  I really like them but because the guy's ass always falls asleep when he sits on one for a long time, he absolutely doesn’t want one.

The turn signal is still on... unlike at the bank, professionals were at work :) You could gift your husband a cushion for his delicate backside?!?
