I want to say exactly the same: Your husband did a good job. I also had the paving stones in the "old hut" and laid them myself. But we had the colorful ones in red tones with yellow (autumn leaf colors).

Unfortunately, they are thick concrete pavers. So water stains from efflorescence in white are later guaranteed. But we'll wait and see. A beautiful year lies ahead of you.

You can also, regarding the garage-house ensemble, "copy".

No one has to make themselves scarce here just because the house is already finished. Especially here and in the house pictures thread, mostly those who have long gone beyond just move-in readiness are hanging around.

The cars don't belong in front either.

About the Mexican honey tomato: One of my favorite tomatoes for snacking. Perfect size, already nicely sweet and a pretty good yield. I have been growing this variety for 3 years now - last year was also the weakest here, but I was on vacation and the watering suffered a bit - not good in the heat.

I like to snack on the Ernteglück and the Dattelwein. Although the latter also had less flavor last year.

Is it the weather when the tomatoes are tasteless? 20 varieties are impressive, great. Thank you, I really think so too. It is just a pity that professionals apparently do not really feel like doing such things. They probably prefer square, rectangular, practical. We are indeed expecting that, but I thought the efflorescence eventually goes away. Natural stone is really beautiful, but would have other disadvantages for us. My husband and I do not do anything for eternity anyway. Almost okay is enough for us, we can still enjoy that. We have made some mistakes and wrong decisions but live well with them anyway. And as mentioned, I am already looking for a property again. Maybe even on the Baltic Sea. ;-) Then I would just have to make cultural sacrifices compared to now. The past year was already very nice. This year there is still a lot of work to do on the outdoor facilities and for the swimming pond, but we are looking forward to it. Thanks for the tip. I will take another look at that. So far I thought about planting tall Italian cypresses in a semicircular arc to create a visual separation between the house and the garage forecourt. I just can’t think of much meaningful I could contribute. I am already glad that I was allowed to post my non-garden photo here in this forum. ;-) That’s true. I just find that parking spaces rarely look good, whether a car is parked on them or not. Of course, there are exceptions. I am looking forward to it too. But now I first have to start reading about what to do with the seeds that will arrive in the next few days. Just sticking them in the soil probably isn’t right. If I become a successful tomato gardener, I will try those two. For now, I have 10 seeds for the Mexican honey tomato, my babies.

Well, what does feel like mean? Professionals earn their living through hard work... and as a craftsman you know where it’s no longer worth writing a quote, because the builders are financially rather drained at the end of the house construction and at the beginning of the garden design.
