Well, my cat would have been happy if breakfast had fluttered in to the bed

And my dog would have had someone to play with and wouldn't have begged me out of bed

Oh, stop it... unfortunately our tomcat is a very successful bird hunter, just the day before yesterday he flattened a baby magpie. But the attic is a parent area, free of children and animals, so the little tit had nothing to fear.

Today I cut a really beautiful bouquet in the garden for my mom for Mother's Day: pink columbine, white night violet, pink lilac, purple gladiolus, chive blossom, blue mountain cornflower and dark pink peony. Oh, and blue borage!

Today the [Eisheiligen] lived up to their name. Hopefully the damage was not too severe. What was salvageable was cleaned up or set aside for protection. My impression is that plants react more sensitively in spring than in winter. Even plants that stayed outside all winter reacted very sensitively to the frosts of the past months.

So far, the garden seems to have survived the ice saints well. On Sunday, I had already planted kohlrabi, Chinese cabbage, arugula, and savoy cabbage as well as sown cut lettuce and planted onions. They don’t really care about that for now. The fig tree has already set 20 fruits; I carefully wrapped it up just in case.

I’m already tapping my feet, waiting for Cold Sophie to pass so I can finally plant all the pre-grown corn outside, put the chilis, the tomatoes, melon pear, etc., in pots. So there’s a bit more room to move around in the greenhouse again.

My beloved plum tree, which I planted 4 years ago, is probably done for. It’s not making a sound. And it had grown so beautifully...

The plant delivery for the 80-meter earthen wall by the street has also already arrived and is waiting to be planted out: a medlar, two hazelnuts, two serviceberries, one sea buckthorn, and 25 blackthorns... That’s going to be fun.

Today we processed more leftovers from our house and, after the garden bench, built a frame for the hammock. It's not completely finished yet, but it's already enough for two people to lie in it.
