The true Veronica is actually a medicinal plant, toxic to cattle in large quantities. But as usual: the dose makes the poison. I would urgently plant a hedge along the field that catches the poison when sprayed.

I just realized I made a mistake... my Phlox paniculata are called "Florence." Fascination is the honorary prize... but judging by the flower, it seems to be the same. It's also covered in bees here... The Phlox paniculata also seem to have found a spot that suits them very well, they have exploded this year! I have a big box of perennials here that I want to plant right away. Some things have to go (Knapweed) and some need to be replanted because I misjudged the height  But before anything can happen here at all, I have to water properly. After the catastrophic amounts of rain last week, the bed is now dry as a bone again. Actually unbelievable.
