Oh, if it's not too late: definitely leave them standing, the seed heads really become beautiful, last all summer into winter, and are even delicate works of art in the frost. They look like huge dandelion clocks. I cut some in winter; they were perfectly dried outside and I made very nice decorations with them.

Mine don't last nearly until winter, not even the ones that aren't bent. They shrink back too much.

Very nice prioritization! At this time, others are chasing the weeds in the lawn for a constantly green monotone area :D I know what I would rather do! Karsten’s home, so every day until midnight ;) At about 33 degrees or so, our loungers moved into the shade of the hedge – it became a cozy spot without planning. Nobody can look into this corner :) About the peony: has it already been said? Transplant once, and it will never bloom again. Ours started blooming a bit late yesterday Edit: double is better ;):p
