I like the church even more since the old clock mechanism has been a bit mixed up and the 7 o’clock chime has been out of order the last few days :p So far, no one has been found who can repair the old device. Until then, we enjoy the peace in the morning. But it's true: it does look beautiful! The other trees stand along a footpath. In the area where the trees reach closest to our property, we have already had to replace hedge plants 4 times because the ashes root everywhere and suck away all the moisture. I have now also redesigned the entire perennial bed in the lower area because all the plants died from the root pressure of the trees. I hope I have chosen the right plants now...

The metal box is at the back left in the picture, basically where the fence is painted in yellow. If we had moved the terrace around the house, it would run around the corner, or is that what you meant?
I didn’t find that visually very pleasing. Then we would also establish a view with the other neighbors; currently, the houses are staggered in such a way that where the hedge is, we cannot see each other when both families are on the terrace. I find that quite pleasant. If we then build a privacy screen to the left, we already have quite good visual peace in the garden.

Whether that would have helped with the noise, I don’t know. Maybe a little? I wouldn’t have gone much further to the right with the terrace anyway.

Yesterday I tested the tree spotlights. Although they only produce 350 lumens, I think they will illuminate the leaf canopy beautifully. On Wednesday the branches will finally be fastened in a wire mesh.

Are those RGB spotlights?

We have also upgraded the lighting. However, with solar. In reality, the lights are a bit dimmer and are now located in a different spot.

Our attempt to grow grass (there was still a tree standing there a year ago, which was removed):

Here is the attempt at a flower "meadow". Not much to see yet ... :(

But it's slowly getting greener:

We are somewhat worried about these plants because of the discoloration on the leaves (one of the light spheres from the first picture can also be seen):

yes those are Philips HUE RGB bulbs.
looks very good :)

I'm a bit worried about my turf. It's increasingly turning yellow/brown in some places and I don't know why.
I fertilized it on Wednesday. We'll see...

I treated our lawn with soil activator the other day. According to the neighbor, that should help.
