Even with a 500m2 plot, I would rather build towards 10,000 liters. That way you can store some water during rainy periods and in winter. Depending on how the garden is designed, even a small garden uses a few square meters per irrigation at a time. I don't care whether it's concrete or plastic. It depends on what fits better in terms of size, shape, and price. I would immediately install an inlet filter with backflush. It can also be misused as a fresh water supply. Choose a pump with sufficient volume and pressure, especially when it comes to irrigation. Forget about supplying the toilet or something similar in the house with it. It doesn't make sense at all (double piping, etc.) Furthermore, the cistern is too small if you want to irrigate. After two to three dry weeks at the latest, it is empty.
