When you quietly read along here, I’m always glad about my gas boiler :)
Well, basically you have to even have the option to install a gas heating system without having to bury a gas tank on the property.
Our development area was planned without a gas connection. At least one of the three people who have gas here didn’t look at the development plan (neither did the general contractor, by the way) and now he has a fancy gas tank in the garden.
It’s always the same, when it works it’s great, when it doesn’t it’s a pain in the ass.
I’ve decided for myself that next winter I will supplement heating in the evening with the fireplace and not completely switch off the heat pump for 2.5 months or only heat with the fireplace. Not because I was cold but because the heat pump barely used any energy at 8-10 degrees (1-2 days before Christmas).
