While reading this discussion, I once again notice very clearly how different people are (e.g. strangely individual). For example, I cannot remember ever having used a thermometer in the house. It would have been my problem to tell the installer in which room I wanted which temperature. I couldn't say how warm it is in each room here, but it is just right. From the time of renting, I still remember very clearly how drastically differently something is perceived as a comfortable temperature. One person in the house argued with the radiator reading company because they had almost double the consumption compared to the rest of us. In the end, it turned out that they had multiple times the consumption especially in the bathroom. During a visit it became clear to me as well; it was warm in the apartment and when she opened the bathroom door, a real blast of heat came out. I believe that among all the calculations, a great (savings) potential can be found in very individual heating behavior, which partly differs completely and is perceived as "normal" and "necessary" by everyone. It is certainly similar with water, electricity, etc., or the often discussed fuel consumption of cars. A few unnecessary trips less or a little more discipline and the difference between consumption of 7.4 liters or 8.0 liters/100 km becomes irrelevant.
