A glass of Ardbeg would also make it quite bearable to endure 3 degrees more inside...

We are mainly here in the "Air-Water Heat Pump Consumption Thread," which naturally addresses existing systems ;-) Or do the contributors just make up their (indoor) temperatures? I don't think so.

The humidity is crap despite controlled residential ventilation. I left the dehumidifier running in the basement this morning and now running it on the ground floor. You have to die a certain way. Either irrigation costs and hardly any humidity because no rain, or rain and high humidity. It hasn't been this cold and wet in the first half of the year for the last 3 years. This morning we had 100% so it wasn't even possible to ventilate out the heat.

It's quite high today, but last night we had a brief 35 liters in 1.5 hours. It really went wild including a power outage for a few minutes.

Water has been pushed into the basement light well here; an initial analysis showed: Water was flushed into the well by the strong wind and heavy rain, and it can't seep away that quickly. About 500ml of water is thus present around the window seal. I blotted it up with a cloth.

However: If such a situation lasts for several hours, the basement would probably be well underwater. I will now build a light well cover for these cases and then lay it on.

Otherwise, the humidity in the basement is high, about 68%. I am now running the dehumidifier. Washing and drying laundry also contributes to it...
