Just out of curiosity: If the solar energy is not sufficient to keep the rooms at temperature and your indoor temperature monitoring signals that the heat pump should start again, how long does it approximately take for the underfloor heating(?) to bring the rooms back to temperature? We do not operate a heat pump ourselves, but as soon as we build new, the air-to-water heat pump will also be installed with us. However, I keep reading about lead times of around ~24 hours before newly set temperature values on the heat pump / switching on the heat pump have an effect on the rooms?

I still have an old project idea – since such longer measurement series are fiddly. There are small modules with microcontrollers (e.g. WiFi-capable ESP32 variants) and a 18650 battery for a few euros. Together with a temperature sensor (which is accurate enough, offsets can be corrected by yourself) you could stick such things somewhere as needed and let them run. Currently, I have something similar, a 0.002 kW accurate electricity meter (<€10), which transmits the values to a small web server running on a laptop.

The devices are controlled by outdoor temperature and return flow, i.e., as long as a certain outdoor temperature prevails, the heating is on.
If the return flow temperature falls below a certain value, heating starts again.
Since underfloor heating is sluggish, it also does not cool down that quickly.
Therefore, the problem of cooled-down rooms does not occur like that.

We haven't had a single day of sun in the last 2 weeks. Therefore, no solar yields either. If we didn't heat for a few hours every day, the indoor temperature would be around 18 degrees. That is no longer comfortable and not feasible.

How much photovoltaic power is there still with cloud cover? I have had around 0.5-2 kW here.

Since I just saw the thread, I'll also attach some data from us, from April this year. The air-to-water heat pump is a Tecalor THZ504. We have 4.55 kWp on the roof. :)
