I never did that because the goal was always to keep the monthly additional costs as low as possible. That is why the photovoltaic system including storage was always part of my house concept. Especially since an electric car has been present for 4 years and functions as an additional storage.

Basically, the photovoltaic system and the storage are already paid off, as we pay off a lot and make special repayments.

It’s just that nothing should break preferably. I can gladly show the self-consumption and autonomy with kWh once my 12-month period is over, then one can derive what is possible.

These profitability calculations are available in abundance for photovoltaics with storage. Actually, they all come to 12-15 years, depending on the offer situation, design, and usage behavior. Damages are not considered; in individual cases, one could be unlucky, but for that, one usually insures the system against external influences.

Certainly. I suspect photovoltaics are around 11-13 years or even faster if you factor in the savings from self-consumption through the electric car. The storage system is somewhere around 16 years when I look at the power drawn from the storage over the last 10 months. Maintenance charges or similar issues basically do not play a role, as I have observed this winter.

That means I clearly invest upfront but am also happy that overall, on average over 12 months, I only have a grid consumption of between 50-55€.

Today is a dark day with rain. From tomorrow there will be 2 days of sun again.

I have to say that I never understood the economic efficiency calculations. We have a photovoltaic system with 9.92 kWp, a 13 kWh storage, and an electric car. I enjoy the photovoltaic system so much that the economic efficiency really doesn't matter to me at all. Yesterday, the inverter was down for half a day, and that makes it clear that you don't want to go a single day without photovoltaic...

PS a photovoltaic system is ALWAYS worthwhile.

@MelanieS

Well, the acquisition and maintenance cost about 15,000-20,000 euros. As long as money doesn’t grow on trees, you have to earn it first. And for these 20,000 euros, you can buy a lot of electricity.

The costs for repairing your inverter will then be added on top of the economic feasibility calculation.
