And does it run without electricity, only on air and love?

Finally, someone who's cold showered!

... and still produces hot water ;-)

OK, we certainly consume more hot water, but it is still a striking difference. What explanation could there be for that? We have set the hot water temperature to 50 degrees, I do not want it lower than that.

I have no idea why. Making it more difficult on my side is that the heating pipes in the basement are not yet insulated, so consumption will tend to go down. I have a Panasonic 5kW heat pump as well as a 500-liter hot water storage tank. Temperature 50 degrees - reheated below 46 degrees.

From when does it get too cold for you, or what hysteresis do you have? We currently have it set to 43 +/- 7 degrees, so far I've never run out of hot water. Let's see how it will be in winter, since showers will then be longer and hotter. Maybe I’ll have to readjust then.

How have you set your domestic hot water circulation? Something like that can also be a real energy guzzler.

As winter is approaching again, I am trying out a few things. I have a 100L parallel storage tank, a mixer, and an HTHK. This is now the second heating season coming up for me.

Since I keep wondering why manufacturers specify such a hydraulics setup to minimize cycling or increase runtime, I have reset all settings and the hydraulics back to "factory settings."

Specifically, that means:

Heating curve of the underfloor heating: 18°C = 22°C return flow 0°C = 27°C return flow -15°C = 30°C return flow

The heat pump heating curve 5K above that of the underfloor heating: 18°C = 27°C return flow 0°C = 32°C return flow -15°C = 35°C return flow

The mixer mixes! UWP set to proportional pressure, ERR activated. Compressor power minimized.

The last two days with AT somewhere between 7-11°C, I have cycles of about 3 hours even though the underfloor heating flow through the ERR is between 1200 and 600L/min.

Last year, at such ATs, cycles were about 25 minutes!
