No. Air-water heat pump and gas fireplace with bottle or actually a real fire (although for that you need a real fireplace, which is also expensive).
Installing a chimney for a wood-burning fireplace costs around 3500-5000€. And you actually don’t need that with an air-water heat pump.
Since I’ve been here, I’ve never heard of such a price. The gas connection is the most expensive connection of all.
I think it also depends on how long the development route is? We know prices around 2500€.
Whether firewood procurement or gas prices differ naturally depends on how you could get the wood.
We are currently facing the same decision. We both grew up with fireplaces/stoves, love the warmth and coziness. Financially, however, it is an incredibly expensive luxury for something you don’t need with a heat pump and underfloor heating.
The idea of a gas fireplace has deterred us so far mainly due to the line costs (which you luckily save with a heat pump). We will research the idea of gas bottles more closely.
Has anyone else had good experiences with an electric fireplace? What are its advantages and disadvantages compared to a gas fireplace? We both have not experienced either firsthand.
