Air-water heat pump current consumption and data

Or what’s the point if I work with ERR to save energy and still have to operate with 40°C flow temperature to get the place warm?

But that contradicts every physics and heating technology. Higher flow temperature greatly increases consumption, especially with a heat pump.

Maybe I’m thinking wrong right now because my heat pump is controlled by return temperature. The flow temperature is reached relatively quickly. Consumption-wise, the jump from flow temperature 30 to, for example, flow temperature 33 takes 15 minutes. That’s negligible with 2kWh. What takes longer, of course, is reaching the target return temperature.

But that only happens once because the temperature level then adjusts itself with respect to the return temperature.

The hydraulics of underfloor heating are not simple, sometimes minimal changes have major impacts. I am now throttling the circuits and yesterday the slight reduction of one circuit caused the entire heat distribution to be disrupted.

It is of course the case that the generated flow temperature also has an influence on efficiency, as can be seen in the performance diagrams of the heat pumps. These are usually specified for 35°C and 55°C heating water temperature. And indeed, the COP at the same air temperature is worse at 55°C heating water than at 35°C heating water. What kind of heat pump does have? Modulating or fixed speed?

Can you actually read out the heat demand over a longer period? I get 18,000 kWh per year including hot water. From the energy certificate, I read 25 kWh/m² + hot water. If I calculate it that way, I come to about 10,000 kWh per year. Certainly, that is an idealized way of calculating. They also assume a dry construction, etc. But I am 80% above that. That surprises me.

The data from the energy performance certificate is worthless; they only inadequately reflect the actual consumption. For example, the quality of the design of the underfloor heating is not evaluated at all in the energy performance certificate.
