The CO2 tax and how it will increase are well known. After the election, possibly even more than previously agreed. This affects gas and less so electricity. For electricity, there is political will to cap it (Renewable Energy Act surcharge already applied).
Today the gas bill for 2020-21 arrived, previously the one for electricity. Electricity 1900 kWh, gas 9300 kWh, both per year. I don't know if that's great, but I am quite satisfied; gas thus costs 500,- per year, electricity around 600,-, so energy costs are about 100,- per month. We produce only hot water via solar. That is used ourselves. Nothing is sold.
There are two of us living in an energy saving regulation bungalow made of solid Ytong with about 110 sqm of living space.
500€ for heating is certainly very acceptable in absolute terms. However, I heat 200 sqm with 4 people for the same money. Therefore, your consumption is probably not optimal.
We currently have 1200 euros household electricity and 1000 euros heat pump, energy costs of just under 200 euros per month. Trend is rising, as we still want a freezer, additional e-cars (I definitely want a fun car with real power..) and a whirlpool. :D
Any idea about the whirlpool? It’s also my little dream, but I can’t bring myself to spend as much electricity on the whirlpool as for the entire house.
By the way, my e-car has so far been charged exclusively with my own photovoltaic electricity (except for the initial charge from the dealership). This increases the return on photovoltaics again, like any self-consumption.
