Come on. Climate change a term? CO2, methane? What is this nonsense? How do you come to the conclusion that there is ANYTHING good for the climate about a gas heating system? Your opinion is solely about your wallet. That is okay for me. I can deal with that. I myself am not free of economic considerations. No problem, as long as one does not claim that there is anything good for the climate about gas. Gas is extremely harmful to the climate. Especially when it has not been burned. That has been known since the 80s.

I don’t want to badmouth anyone’s already installed and well-adjusted gas boiler here. I have also heated with oil for a long time. I even still have a car that occasionally needs gasoline. I also don’t want anyone to be cold! But if you know that it’s better to stop burning fossil fuels sooner rather than later, then thinking about installing a new gas heating system is just plain stupid. Sorry.

The Austrians really have very, very bad and stupid politicians. But they have banned gas heating systems. That should at least slowly make our government think about whether we really still need pipelines from countries like Russia.
