With this very low heating curve, we'd freeze our butts off. We'd have a maximum of 20 degrees in the house. We run 28/21/0 with 1.5 hysteresis and have 22 degrees on the ground/floor and 19 in the basement.

I find that interesting. What kind of floor structure do you each have? What does your respective heating load calculation show as the total heat demand? Possibly also the house shape? Flat large bungalow vs. nicely compact cuboid?

Nothing special. Like everywhere else, KG 12cm below and laterally perimeter insulation.

The same floor structure on every floor. 22cm concrete and floor structure 16cm (= insulation, screed, tiles).
Cold roof insulated with 24cm ETICS. Exterior walls 36cm T9 with some special solar plaster (marketing speech).

But the blower door test was extremely good. I only remember that I was surprised.

Yeah, basically identical to my house. I only have the thicker T8 42.5 cm exterior walls :D

I only remember you once had consumption over 30kwh daily for the heat pump. Would be nice if you tell me how you got down to 12 kwh now. I want that too :P

I had some weeks last year in January and February where the total house consumption per week was around 400kWh. But that also included the weekday charging of the electric car (7kWh), open ERRs, and a heating curve of 30/21/0.

I just don’t understand why your place runs on 28/21/0, while we have similar temperatures in the house. Upstairs 20-21 degrees, ground floor 22-23 degrees, basement 17 degrees (heating off). It can’t just be the windows and if it is, then it must be the stone as well.

So we are back to the idea of turning off the basement.
