I don't care about the few euros right now either. But in the last 2 months, it has been a matter of effort with the manual day adjustment.
You remember.

But do you want to do all this crap every year now? Set the heating curve, set the heating limit, choose the automatic mode, and done. I also wouldn't completely turn off the heating rod. When the first strong frost comes, the heating will show errors/etc. and shut down. The heating rod won't turn on and your water pipe at the device will freeze.

Our heating still runs now and then. This morning -3°C AT. It's still too cold for me to switch to hot water only. 2950 kWh heat including hot water (district heating) and 435 kWh electricity drawn from the grid, with a total consumption of 1150 kWh. Runs quite well as expected.

Cozy 22.5 degrees this morning in the bathroom, the heating ran for 5 hours yesterday evening. Without it, it would probably have been around 21.2. It's worth the few bucks to me :)

I would almost bet that at least you wouldn't notice the 1.3 degrees in the upper floor.

I'm not very keen on manual daytime increase, so I'll test the optimized setting that was used in winter without sun starting in October (for autumn). It was just a pity not to do this from mid-February with so much sun.

Regarding the heating rod, it was completely off this year, and we all know how the temperatures were this year. The heat pump has been working very well and efficiently without complaints since the optimization at the end of January. By the way, the hot water is still only running through the heat pump, the heating rod is off there too.

I had everything installed because when the heating rod is in everywhere, a normal person only notices a defect when the electricity bill's additional payment arrives.

As said, that works fine until the heating breaks down and everything outside freezes on you.
