I've read that several times, but I do not understand the statement. I can only either receive or lose something. I cannot lose anything because I can't receive it through self-consumption, and vice versa. Everything I can feed in, I cannot consume myself, so I also do not lose any "free kWhs".

I have a HOVAL air-to-water heat pump and the corresponding Hoval central ventilation system. I have been playing around with the settings for weeks and have now come to a fairly satisfactory result. Heated area (ground floor, upper floor, basement approx. 360 sqm). At a temperature of 21 degrees in all rooms and an approximate outside temperature of -2 degrees, I have an electricity consumption of about 12-15 kW/h per day, which I am very satisfied with. I am also running an extremely low supply temperature of 23.5 degrees and return temperature of approx. 21.8 degrees and 16 compressor starts per day. Surprisingly, the temperature is reached in every room without sunlight (21-21.2 degrees), except in two rooms on the upper floor. There I don’t quite manage it, even though the valves are fully open. Does anyone have a tip?

23.5 degrees flow temperature? Kfw 40? How many sqm? And the hoval is a modulating one. Which are your 2 rooms? Have you checked under the valve? You always have 3 options to control the flow rate.

1x on the Taco itself

Then on the valve, for that you need a square key.

Or the biggest problem is your volume flow is too low and the resistance in the pipes is too high, so you have to throttle the rooms to give enough heat to the other 2.

Can you provide a .dat file? I would like to see the 23.5 flow temperature with my own eyes. If I subtract a minimal spread of 2 K, the screed temperature is at room temperature level.

I am not sure if a KFW40 house with the size, consumption, and low supply temperature is sufficient as an insulation standard at all. I think a higher standard is probably the basis here. Probably not a solid construction, but a timber frame. But maybe our colleague will enlighten us :)

The 16 compressor starts somehow do not match the consumption either.

It is a KFW40+ solid construction. What can I say. I read up on it myself and experimented a lot. At the beginning, there was a lead time of 31 degrees. That consumed a lot of electricity. Now I also reach the desired temperature, except for the two rooms. But I will try the previous tip there. The heated area is about 360sqm and 21 degrees is set in all rooms. But to be fair about electricity consumption, no hot water was used! Unfortunately, I don't know how to create a file.
