This morning the outside temperature is 1.5 degrees, the house has cooled down by 0.5 degrees, but 21.5 degrees is also acceptable.

Due to the low outside temperature, despite the lowered heating curve, the return temperature setpoint is 23.7 degrees and the screed cooled down overnight to 22.0 degrees. Thus, the heating has just been activated. However, the sun is coming around the corner at the same time, I'm curious to see which one prevails :D

We had -0.6 degrees this morning. You can see it is like at your place here as well. Like the last few days, I manually switched the heating on once a day, from the moment the photovoltaic starts providing power. The rest is taken care of by the solar yield. When the heating is done, I switch on the hot water and that’s it.

But you don't want to do that permanently, do you?

So doing it for fun once to see how much you can reduce the consumption is okay. But you don't want to manually turn the heating and/or hot water on and off.

Wouldn’t it make sense to work with a lowered heating curve and daytime increase during the transitional period? Then the heat pump should automatically heat the screed and prepare hot water at the "right" time, and be off at night. This manual switching around is not so comfortable...

Of course not. I’m only doing it manually right now because I’m working from home and haven’t tried yet what hysteresis should be set in heating mode so that the heating reliably comes on at 12 o’clock. For hot water this basically works with 7K, so the hot water should come on around 2 pm. The heating curve is still fine at 25/21/0.

It’s actually just about increasing self-sufficiency
