Air-water heat pump current consumption and data

The coefficient of performance at 8 degrees outside temperature is really good, so no worries. My air-to-water heat pump also ran in a 6-hour cycle at night.

What is the consumption of your module heat pump at the lowest level?

Good question... not so easy to answer since I never really know what the lowest level is. According to the datasheet mine modulates between 1.7 and 8.6kW heating power. According to the Photovoltaic Portal the power consumption increases by about 400W when the unit starts - whereby I simply assume that it starts at the lowest level. That corresponds to a COP of 4.25 (1.7kW heating at 400W power consumption), which is actually too low (the current average value is 5.9 according to the heat pump display (which of course could also be embellished)). However, my heat pump is not optimized in the lower range yet (e.g. both pumps run fixed at 70%, which then leads to very low temperature spreads - it would probably be better to control the pumps depending on the power. An answer as to whether/how this is possible is still pending). Long story short: I offer 400W as the lowest level (and suspect optimization potential in the lower power ranges). Could that be right? Otherwise, May is also damn cold, wet and gloomy in Sauerland. Total power consumption (heating, hot water, household) in May so far still only 268kWh. Of that 4kWh grid consumption and 914kWh fed in... going well :p
