The coefficient of performance at 8 degrees outside temperature is really good, so no worries. My air-to-water heat pump also ran on a 6-hour cycle at night.

Bookstar can handle a little teasing. The few cents at these outside temperatures are okay. Although I cannot distinguish here between my on/off heat pump and the modulating units. What do your module heat pumps consume at the lowest setting?
Furthermore, the temperatures + rain are extremely beneficial to the garden established last year.

Good question... not so easy to answer, since I never really know what the lowest level is. According to the datasheet, mine modulates between 1.7 and 8.6kW heating output. According to the photovoltaic portal, power consumption increases by about 400W when the unit turns on - assuming it starts at the lowest level.
That would correspond to a COP of 4.25 (1.7kW heating at 400W power consumption), which is actually too low (the current average value is 5.9 according to the heat pump display (which could of course also be embellished)). However, my heat pump is not yet optimized in the lower range (e.g. both pumps run fixed at 70%, which leads to very low differentials - it would probably be better to regulate the pumps depending on the performance. The answer whether/how this is possible is still pending).

Long story short: I offer 400W as the lowest level (and suspect potential for optimization in the lower power ranges).

Could this be correct?

Otherwise, May is also really cold, wet and dark in Sauerland. Total power consumption (heating, hot water, household) in May so far only 268kWh. Of that 4kWh drawn from the grid and 914kWh fed in... going well :p

268kWh are you sure? We are at 407kWh and the heating has been off since the end of April. The e-car is being charged more often again now but 140kWh less and that with heating? For me it is 7kWh grid consumption and 518kWh fed in

Why am I always getting heckled here for using so little ;) We are just two, have no power-hungry hobbies, and the house/heating/water seem to work quite well.

I like my house. Outside it goes up to 30 degrees and inside nothing happens.
I aired out in the morning to let the humidity normalize after what felt like 6 weeks of rainy weather, even the controlled residential ventilation was overwhelmed the last few weeks.
