As far as I know, the buffer tanks are supposed to prevent/compensate for compressor short run times caused by closed ERR. It is often the case that the refrigerant also serves as a lubricant, and if the pump only runs for about 30 seconds at a time, it is simply not lubricated sufficiently. The buffer is supposed to ensure that it is lubricated for at least 5 minutes. I think they deal more with customers who use the ERR and then still report their defective compressors within the warranty period, rather than customers who crown an as efficiently running heat pump as their new hobby.

At AIT/Novelan there is also a hydraulic diagram from the manufacturer without buffer and mixer stuff, very officially with warranty. I don’t see why that works in that company and why not at Brötje, it’s the same technology. Regarding the calculated COP of Brötje. How is it calculated? Is the consumption of the circulation pumps also measured? How is the amount of heat measured? There are many inaccurate possibilities, which are mostly installed by the heat pump manufacturer. Some also calculate it only from the power consumption in relation to the flow rate and other values. I don’t trust the stated values at first. A COP of 5 with a flow temperature of almost 35°C and AT of 1.3°C would be a super rocket pump...

Typo? At 39 degrees I almost have hot water. That can't be the case in a new building, can it?

Oh come on, seriously? I brought it up: But here’s the thing! My heating curve is terribly high: 18°C = 30° flow 0°C = 35° flow -15°C = 38° flow I’m surprised my consumption isn't around 35-40kWh :p ERR active Buffer active Bathroom 23.2°C Bedroom 18.5°C (right next to the bathroom) remaining rooms 22°C 39 heating hours with 7 cycles.

Temperatures currently at a good -8 degrees.
Consumption currently at 35-40kWh

Played around with the hydraulics a bit today, let's see what comes out now :)
