This relationship, borrowed from concrete technology, results in a drying time of 6 x 6 x 1.6 = 57.6 days for a six-centimeter thick screed – that’s almost two months!
Correct. But that applies to unheated screed.
I think I was told 6 weeks for readiness for covering by the general contractor.
Playing it safe. Everything has to fit perfectly to be able to realize such short times. Weather, heating, etc.
What is done in the period between screed and moving in is, in my opinion, just "peanuts", or am I mistaken?
Setting up technology for heating and ventilation
Well, no heating, no screed heating ;)

Yes, but in the end it still takes time. It doesn’t just happen quickly like that.
My understanding is that we can start the painting work about 4 weeks after screed, which will then take another 4 weeks.
You should indeed wait until you start painting after the screed has been laid. It gets so damp in the house that you’d think you were in a sauna (when the heating is on). But whether it’s 4 weeks, or 3 or 5 in the end, it’s basically all the same.
