It hadn’t become completely clear to me. Are the 70% before/after the ventilation system was put into operation? What is the humidity by now at what temperature?
That’s all well and good, but who cares? What counts is the current condition, and in my opinion it is still not good.
You should be aware that in a concrete cellar, with insulation all around, without heating, absolutely nothing dries. The only way is the controlled residential ventilation to create air exchange and circulation. You depend on that. Unfortunately, you reject other measures. This form of drying will accordingly take time.
If the controlled residential ventilation is running and the trend doesn’t clearly improve, you have an obvious issue here.
70% is better than 90%. But that’s it.
We already had 70% before starting operation, so shortly before, since the drying was only finished 1 1/2 weeks ago – so everything is still very “fresh”.
We have about 20 degrees in the cellar and, as mentioned, 70% humidity. The ventilation system has been running for 4 days now.
So I’ll probably wait a few more weeks and observe the whole thing to see if the humidity steadily decreases. If that is the case and I get to about 60%, I will probably use the cellar as storage or as a laundry drying room.
Thanks for your help!!
