Hello Falkenjaeger,

Recommendations:
1. Replace device filters every 6 months.
Affordable and excellent retrofit filters can be found, among others, on Ebay and elsewhere on the web.
2. Pre-filter fresh air intake:
In addition to a fly screen, you should definitely install a filter with at least G4 before the Hoval unit, otherwise too much dirt will reach the rotor.
I recommend a filter bag directly in the pipe ... preferably directly after the intake grille on the outside. We can gladly discuss other solutions (contact me).
3. Pre-filter in the exhaust vents:
Each exhaust vent (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) needs a G4 pre-filter, otherwise you will draw dust and grease vapor into the exhaust ducts.
PS: 2.+3. also help prevent contamination of the device and increase the service life of the device filters (so that with low outdoor air pollution you can keep the device filters in longer - but please never longer than 1 year).

Air purifier despite F7 device filter?
Is there a special reason for this?

I know of a case where the F7 filter already provided significant fine dust reduction in the house. F9 is also possible ... it then removes almost everything (but with shorter replacement intervals and higher pressure loss/consumption).

Hello Martin

Thanks for your reply.
What you write makes sense.
I was already surprised how much dust and dirt was present after 13 months.
I thought I would check the filters in autumn anyway and would probably replace them.
Can exhaust air valves still be fitted with filters afterwards?
Unfortunately, our house is already built and the intake pipe is on the roof.
The air purifiers are actually humidifiers (just with the effect that the air is also cleaned a little). We have good to very good values with humidifiers in terms of humidity. I will turn off the humidifier in the living room this weekend ...
We had some small cracks in the wood, therefore additional humidifiers ....

Regards and happy Easter!

The dust is quite bad at the beginning because of the construction dust, etc.

Simply put a cone filter behind the valve in the air ducts... so valve off -- filter in -- valve on

Hey Cool Mycraft and Martin!

I will try Werder, I am sure it works!
It also makes sense
I will then pass it on to the other 5 homeowners in my new settlement, my neighbors....

Greetings and happy Easter

Yes, cone filters or rectangular filter bags. You can sew them yourself from fabric by the meter ... then it costs practically nothing.

Isn't it possible to at least get to the intake so that you could hang a filter bag in there every 6 months?
For example, remove the hood/fly screen, hang in the filter bag, put the hood back on/secure it?
That's roughly how we do it ... just slip a self-sewn G4 filter bag with a rim over the pipe, so that the filter bag hangs down inside the pipe.
I have a 1m-long G4 filter bag with a 20cm diameter ... we replace it at the earliest after 6 months - and that's fine.

As you can see in the photo, it is worth filtering out the dirt (soot in winter, pollen in spring) ... otherwise that ends up in the controlled residential ventilation ... with the RS-250 directly in the rotor (the supply air filter only comes after the rotor!).

Can meter goods for the filters also be used for the HOVAL?
