Is an additional heater recommended in the bathroom with underfloor heating?

We have also installed a towel radiator. It is clear that it will not get very warm at the maximum supply temperature of 35 degrees (underfloor heating). For this reason, we have equipped it with a heating cartridge that then heats this radiator. It is installed directly next to the washbasin and will create a "heat peak" when desired. This will usually be the case during transitional periods.

Warming towels is just a side effect.

We have a towel radiator (electric with heating cartridge) as an additional heating to the low-temperature underfloor heating. We have connected a timer switch and set it so that the towel radiator turns on every morning one hour before getting up. We have it really nice and warm every winter morning.

I am admittedly no plumber - however, underfloor heating usually does not care whether the required water is heated by gas or heat pump. So how do you come to the conclusion that a gas heating system would require a higher flow temperature with underfloor heating? Rhineland greetings

It does not require them, but usually the water is heated to a higher temperature (40-55 degrees). And especially with a towel warmer, a higher flow temperature is needed anyway. With a heat pump, it is very inefficient to size the heating system based on the bathroom.
