I'll try. Friends of ours have practically shut themselves in. Even the idea that someone might randomly look inside is disgusting to them. I feel a bit trapped there, but the room is very cozy. I even think it has about the same windows as your open-plan room. Curtains, pictures, wall unit, dining table, carpet, flowers—nothing special.

Naked and white cannot help but appear ba(re)(c)old. I don't want to look for the resell thread here, but rather quote Nina Ruge: everything will be fine.

I don’t see that at all here. I see a 3-seater or something with a footrest or large ottoman. And that on the west wall with the canapé on the right side.
A corner sofa would be too cramped in the corner and wouldn’t add anything to the room. Are you on FB? If yes, then I can recommend some furnishing groups there.

Why should they look? That’s nonsense. My guests talk to each other and my view and my furniture don’t matter at all. That’s the mistake everyone makes: everyone looks at the pimple on my nose, and when you ask, it’s like: what pimple?…

Crosswise stops, straight faces it.
It’s just different, and why haven’t you tried it yet before asking the question? It’s done in 2 minutes.

What do you keep looking at there? We go into the garden, and if we look, then preferably right in front of the window or island.
You eat or do crafts at the table, you don’t look out.
Have you already planted your bush on the west wall?

How can one find them? I would also like some tips.

On the west wall and not on the south wall as before? Then you are constantly looking into the long room; wouldn’t it be more sensible to have the “short” view? (like before, see outline)? I thought with the corner sofa I was hitting two things: - “short” view and to the TV - “long” view and even out of the window (see arrow) Well, we and our guests have always liked looking outside while eating, it’s nice when you have a garden in front of you. But I think both work and you can just try it. I think in terms of space it won’t make much difference either way. No, first the gardener has to come and level the ground a bit. I think otherwise the bush would quickly be gone again. But in spring then.
