Because our ground floor simultaneously retains the slope, we were not completely free in the planning. So we accepted what was least disturbing. Our sofa is positioned with its back to the dining table. Why not? It took some getting used to, but it doesn't bother us personally.

If the goal is to look outside over the sofa backrest, there is no need for a floor-to-ceiling window here. 40 to 70 cm parapet height is absolutely sufficient.

As Kerstin writes, with us, the parapet height is 60cm and we see EVERYTHING that is going on outside. It is the same in the bedroom.

Yes, of course, it does not have to be floor-to-ceiling. We have a parapet height of 90 cm, which already obstructs the view.

I would have done it that way now too. We have 90 cm everywhere.
