The elephant is quite pointy!

@ Chris:
Basically, it’s ideal if you like your floor plan best and want to build it that way. Period.

Off-topic:
Since you have been leaving so many good and sensible comments here for so long and should actually feel right at home by now, I think it’s time—without wanting to offend you or pressure you—you can still sleep on it—so in short—I think you should consider, how about telling us your first name?

Off-topic, , there is nothing to consider. My first name is Thies and when I registered here last year it was still generally visible in the info box at the top of my posts (why not anymore now, I don’t know). By the way, there are mixed opinions about the value of my comments.

Ah, hello Thies. Rare name. Just write it in the signature, like most people here.

I think it's great that so many forum members are so committed here.

Yes sure, if everything is cluttered and no free wall is visible anymore, you are probably right. Of course, I don't want something like that either.

As I said, I am open to all suggestions. If I or someone else comes up with a great floor plan with different external dimensions, I am also happy to forward it to the architect again or discuss it with him. Maybe I have really fixed myself too rigidly on the narrow house; perhaps another dimension like 10.5 x 9.5 or a recess for the dining table, etc., could also make sense.

You are funny. The building envelope is not known, there was the requirement for a certain house. You are planning your fireplace as the main component and Katja provides countless design variants, not one of which you even consider seriously as an approach. Instead... well, I don’t want to harp on it... but maybe you should just go through this thread again from start to finish?!
