Ok, I understand. I still don't believe that the light comes that far; I think it will be quite dark in the living room. Additionally, a carport is planned in the east, so there wouldn't even be a window there. To get out to the south, you'd also have to squeeze past the table to get to the terrace door. All a bit awkward. I think the floor plan makes sense if you can orient the house lengthwise to the south; then the living room and dining room would be on the south side.

the question with the light (especially the natural light from outside) is whether you want that in the living room? what do you do there? we, for example, mostly just watch TV there, so I actually don't really want light. on the other hand, I want long and plenty of daylight in the kitchen and dining area

Didn't want to sell you on the Scanhaus Marlow Marlow. Just thought it was fitting. Nothing seems to stand a chance against your grouper anyway.

Ok, opinions seem to differ here, I mainly stay in the living room and rarely at the dining table...

I also think the Scanhaus Marlow Marlow is great, but as I said, not every floor plan fits every plot. The grouper has advantages, just as it has advantages not to have the grouper. I see more advantages with the grouper --> the chimney is less visible, in the hallway you still have a nice space for a dresser, shelf, etc. By now I'm also at the end and finally want a finished design.
