Of course I don't have grilles, and it is not fixed glazing either. You have 50 cm in height left for the window, that's enough and looks good. And if that is too little for you, then choose fixed glazing.

You can also install the light strips lower than 90cm if you use a tilt window. You can then lever it open or fully open it for cleaning. One00 has something like that if I remember correctly and has also posted a photo somewhere before.

Here is a window with a height of 45 cm, but the parapet is about 100... You can wonderfully look into your garden, but you have to consider the height to the garden in the attic.

Here a parapet height of 85 cm, the window has a height of 70 cm

The view

So, everything works

P.S. These shots are spontaneous now, so without tidied content

Thank you all for the many photos! That gives me a very good impression! I have to say, I wouldn't have thought that a narrow window with a height of 45cm and the corresponding width would look so great. You can really get a great view of the garden. Wonderful!

In general, I would find the fixed glazing option as shown by One00 in the second picture visually even nicer. But for my use case, unfortunately, this option is too expensive. Therefore, it will probably be the narrow window.

THANK YOU!
