I know, and that’s how I would have seen it too, but back then our considerations were just like that. I also don’t find it so bad, but my wife is very sensitive about it and likes the west side just the way it is, it just bothers me. In retrospect, maybe I shouldn’t have let myself be influenced so much and should have built with common sense. There are also curtains, etc., that you can draw at those spots if you feel disturbed. But back then I didn’t think the window situation would bother me, and so it was quite right to solve the viewing problem with the smaller windows...

Yes, I also hope that it helps a lot. It still feels quite cool now. Well, and in some of the raved-about pictures, there weren't that many more windows either. Maybe it's just a phase. In a glass palace, you can decorate fewer walls, etc...

Yes, that was a stupid decision.

I often wonder if no one here knows about venetian blinds from their office.

I don’t want to be harsh, but if you look at the picture of your house, one could get the impression that you modernized a house from the 60s or 70s. We have an extreme amount of glass, also facing the neighbors, and wouldn’t want to change that anymore. And why should I care if the neighbors see me in boxer shorts and shirtless? That’s no different than wearing swim trunks... The kids also have 2 floor-to-ceiling windows, one single-pane and one double-pane. At least we equipped their windows with pleated blinds from MHZ. Not cheap, but these protect against unwanted views. We chose a light tone as color. It also lets in almost no light. In the living room, I would carry out ’s suggestion and move the sofa to the other side.

Why? I am sitting right now in front of the window, and if my neighbors come home, they could look at me through the hedge... could... . Why would they do that? I'm not that interesting after all.
