I’m not totally dissatisfied either, but sometimes I do get annoyed that everything was so limited by the property and neighbors. But I think in the end something good came out of it that you can live well in.

Thanks for the tips about the plants. Yes, I definitely don’t want ivy. If anything, I’d rather anchor a trellis in the ground and then let honeysuckle or something similar climb. But of course, roses are also very beautiful.

Then don't talk it down. Be proud of what you have and bring your experience to new things.

Exactly. What is missing here first is the furnishing. That's why it looks dull, I think. One could, for example, consider curtains, drapes, or some kind of window decoration.

But planned... As I said: everything had its reason back then why it is the way it is. And perfectionism is awful anyway, who wants that? Then you would have had to spend twice as much for yourself. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Don’t be annoyed. There are compromises others have to make even more. Everything has its time... almost everyone would plan differently now because only now can you truly experience the planned ER. But that’s life: you should also sometimes be content looking at other important events in the future. The house becomes less important quite quickly because it matters less whether the west side is symmetrical, bare, or enlivened with a bench. See?

Sorry for off-topic because I (as a lazy writer with less than 100 posts) am not allowed to send you a private message: Do they travel around the republic and possibly also work in NRW?

That was more of a joke. The crew paved our driveway. In the end, the boss offered to build a conservatory for us right away. The workers were very diligent and did not shy away from hard work. However, they were not skilled workers. Therefore, we politely declined.
