Floor plan design single-family house with around 150 m²

I've been pondering for a long time how to get a window there... does it look good if the stair stringer runs in front of the window? It's definitely doable, but does it look good? Would a narrow window above the stair stringer also be possible in terms of space?

I think it's cool. But surely everyone has a different opinion about that. And the stair builder has to cooperate as well.

At the risk of repeating myself: in a house with the latest generation of insulation, a cozy fireplace only runs once in a blue moon. In my opinion, this does not justify it becoming a sticking point in the floor plan design.

I completely agree with you. But I don't know what insulation has to do with the fireplace. In autumn/winter, I just often light the fireplace, no matter what insulation there is. And I like to open the window if it gets too warm :-; But of course, not everything should revolve around the fireplace. Just as not everything has to revolve around a built-in wardrobe in the hallway. In that case, I would rather do without the built-in wardrobe, make the guest room smaller, and so on.

I find these statements somehow absurd. Which built-in wardrobe? I don’t see one in your design. And if the tiny guest room becomes even smaller, what exactly is that supposed to achieve? Please make a sketch showing what you gain from it.

You can do without a wardrobe cabinet and then be annoyed your whole life in this house because clothes from three/four people cause disorder and collect dust under the open staircase.
