So far, I see no chance. Besides, everything would then revolve around bundling the 2 chimneys, which cannot be the point and would rather exacerbate the chaos than ease it.

However, how all of this is supposed to stay within a budget of 200 grand is a mystery to me.

I'm curious about that too. But surely there will be some additional costs, I didn't expect it to be any different. At the moment, I only know the price stated in the contract.

Of course, a built-in fireplace etc. will cost quite a bit more, but I've already planned for all of that.

No, I’m saying, "not at any cost." I just notice that the actually secondary chimney somehow seems super important, while in this budget range, in my opinion, essentials should play the leading role. For that small amount of money, you can be glad if the house primarily has a solid structure and isn’t too small. Rooms can possibly be a bit less differentiated than you’d like, storage space sometimes has to be wherever there’s room, and so on.

You are probably right, but to pay for such a large project and then give up on your dream of a chimney – you might as well not do it at all. In that sense, to each their own.

I don't really have anything to say about the actual thread - but I am a silent reader and keep thinking "Wow!" Kaho, you invest so much time and effort here, I am completely amazed! I think it's great that you support the thread starter so actively.

Thank you. Thank you. But this is more selfishness than anything else because it’s an addiction. Kind of like puzzling, only worse. And then also without any background knowledge of a real architect. That’s why these are always just ideas, with no guarantee that they are actually buildable.
