As I said, that was not our main intention, but we thought we could do both... be protected and yet have an open living space... which didn’t work at all.
You can make it cozy now with decorations, unfortunately openness only with elaborate remodeling measures...

Open and protected from the outside is initially a contradiction. At most, you can put a privacy screen at the property boundary. But even there you have to be careful not to create a backyard atmosphere. Open on the inside is your ground floor. It can’t be much more than that. Our parents would have planned 3 small rooms here.

Yes, that's true. The middle is good. We didn't pay much attention to the back part. But it's amazing what ideas and possibilities come to mind when I stand in the finished room. Now I have so many ideas on how I could place furniture, windows, etc. – but that's usually the case. But that's also how life is – you have to live with your decisions. And accept them.

If your forum name indicates your year of birth, there should still be enough opportunity to build twice more. But the postpartum depression will also pass. Surely, you are not the only one for whom, beyond the seven mountains by the seven dwarfs, another house has become even more beautiful.

I always see a corner sofa either trapped in its name, meaning it has to stand in the corner, or standing freely in the room requiring about 35 sqm (living room excluding kitchen) for the "equation to work out". If you value the three-seater part (lying length), I recommend a three-seater (but without the rigidly attached side two-seater part). And just as I like to mention pumice (or another third variant) in "Ytong or Poroton" discussions, I hereby point out that there are not only single or corner sofas, but you can also combine sofa and armchair. Incidentally, there is a simple method to reconcile any kind of seating group with an outward view: namely to abolish the TV – that automatically resolves the orientation towards the inward view.

I like this word postpartum depression. Yes, it probably will. And yes, there are surely always more beautiful houses. The most important thing is just to be satisfied with your own. I only regret that I proceeded so aimlessly back then. I think I wasn’t aware of the whole extent, how final and important it is. Recently read a nice article: "Most home builders invest more time planning their kitchen than planning the house."
